Our stay at this property was excellent in every way. The service was great. The breakfast was lovely. The location was fantastic, overlooking the lovely Robberg beach. Our one regret was that we were only staying for one night.
We were travelling the garden route and booked in for one night and loved it so much we booked for a second (meaning we also paid for next stop too). It was worth every penny. Such amazing hospitality.
First class boutique hotel. Lovely big bright rooms with large comfortable beds and all required facilities. Excellent breakfast with all day complimentary tea coffee and muffins. Super views of the beach and Robberg for comfortable lounge.
We arrived at 10pm having failed to get access to a rented apartment in Plett. The staff were so helpful and showed us several different rooms and made us feel so welcome when we were desperate to find a bed. The location was amazing and breakfast great.
What can I say about this charming hotel. Well to start with the fantastic location, right opposite this beautiful beach. I loved the size of the property as well as the rooms, large in size with wonderful bathrooms. The service was super, as was the food, we had a lunch and dinner at the hotel and both were excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
THIS PLACE IS UNBELIEVABLE - easily one of the top 3 places Ive stayed at in the world! This hotel is just a dream come true - beautiful reception with easy, quick check in, the sounds of the ocean in the background when you check in and all throughout your stay. The reception area has bookshelves built into the walls, hosting a small library for your reading, games for kids and sofas that you can sink into. I spent one entire afternoon sitting there with a full glass pane view of the ocean with my book and a staff offered to bring me tea right there - so sipping African Rooibos, my book, oceanfront and the crashing waves - what more can you ask for! We stayed here 4 nights and I just couldn't part with it - I wanted to stay longer. The rooms are super private - huge bathrooms, privacy, tub and shower both, laundry on the premises, pull out sofa beds in the room, large comfortable beds, super huge balconies to enjoy the ocean views and sounds. The breakfast is also amazing. Simple and delicious, breads, cheese, crackers, fresh juice, eggs made to order, bacon, croissants, jams, honey...all that you can eat and all that you can ask for - I was amazed at the selection. You can also have dinner here but you have to make a reservation for dinner in advance. We did laundry while here as well and each item came back well laundered and folded in baskets back in our room the next day. The Robberg Beach Lodge is a must stay and makes the visit at Plettenberg Bay - complete!
From the moment I arrived, I felt well treated, looked after and happy to be at the Robberg. The staff all greet with a big smile, constantly offering assistance or advice on activities, restaurants etc. You walk in and are offered a welcome drink etc- all in the small details! The rooms are very clean and neat, nicely decorated and spacious. So many places one visits don't look like they do on the website, but I must say the Robberg is even nicer than on the website. I visited on recommendation by a friend and I myself will definitely recommend in the future.
Fantastic location. Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Stunning view from our bedroom. Staff really are caring and very helpful. Nothing too much to ask. Nice atmosphere. Being the owner of guest houses myself, I really appreciated the fact that everything was so nicely in place... Will be back!
We had only booked a one night stay at the Robberg hotel during our garden route holiday but we wished we had booked a longer stay. We stayed in guest room R3 - a great room. The location is excellent for a beach break and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This property comprises about 4 separate buildings, we were in cottage pie, and our room was enormous. A lovely en suite and big bedroom with TV and WIFI. Lovely gardens and the views along the coast were amazing. Plett beach is very long and sandy and a walk along it taking 30 minutes strolling will take you to the town. It is quite a small resort, with 2 pools, we had one in Cottage pie, the other is on the roof of the main building. There is an honesty bar with a good choice of wines, beers and other drinks, and 2 good roof terraces for sunbathing on or watching the sun go down. It is a very peaceful place, with attentive staff and good food.
We stayed one night at the Robberg Beach Lodge and enjoyed it very much. The reception was very friendly and explained us very detailed what to expect. Our laundry was ready next morning what we appreciated very much.
This place is listed as a five star BnB. - it is!. Its set in the perfect location right on the sea front and has views across the Plettenberg Bay. The staff are so helpful. Each new arrival is greeted warmly and offered a drink and then taken through an overview of the area, including the best places to eat and drink. Our room was clean a tidy and the fridge was stocked with drinks. The place has a nicely stocked "honesty" bar and the lounge has stunning views. Breakfast is first class and if you arrange an evening meal you will not be disappointed. I'd recommend.
Beautiful located beach house! We enjoyed 5 days in the Robberg beach house in Plettenberg. We had a room with a magnificent view over the ocean! The staff is super friendly! The location is fantastic, accros the street is the beach!
This property is close to a lovely beach. It is however a drive from the main resort but this means it is secluded. The property is made up of different 'lodges' which may not look that attractive from the outside but are beautifully appointed within. All the staff were great and we enjoyed reading the history of the property and the Lion Roars brand.
Modern, trendy, clean hotel on the beach, with friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. Gorgeous views of the coast. Be sure to visit nearby Robberg Natural Reserve for a great hike and view of the seals!
